On 24-25 October 2012, the European Network of the Foundations for Social Economy (PEFONDES) organised the first Meeting of Europe’s Foundations, Regions and Cities for Social Innovation. The Meeting enabled participants a) to define their vision of Social Innovation, b) to discuss the role which could be played by public and private stakeholders to support Social Innovation, c) to explore possible collaboration opportunities between Foundations and the European Commission and d) to exchange their best practices related to Social Innovation.
PEFONDES decided to write the conclusions of the Meeting of Europe’s Foundations, Regions and Cities for Social Innovation in a participatory way. For this reason, an open process of evaluation and reflection was initiated in which all participants and interested persons were invited to take part. The final conclusions of the Meeting are now available!
